Computer Applications Technology (Grade 10)
In Computer Applications Technology we try to understand how computer technologies can be used to support real-world needs. CAT has three legs:
  • Computer Applications - we learn how to use office based applications
  • Operation Knowledge - theory that can assist in choosing the best ICT tools and fixing basic problems
  • Information Management - how information is gathered, processed and presented
The last of these is a particularly useful skill as it is central to most tertiary study, and plays an increasingly important role in modern working life.
